Hello! My name is Sidney Read and I am the owner of Read Art Studio.
I enjoy working in a lot of different mediums. As you will note in the various artworks that are displayed, I paint; carve; and burn to make stone knives and hatchets, walking sticks, clocks, and pictures. I have carved and burned walking sticks for several avid sports fans including some for the Washington Redskins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Dallas Cowboys.
The knives and tomahawks are made for display. The blades are made of stone and the handles can be of wood or bone. I often make holders for them to be displayed.
I have made many custom pieces and I am always glad to work with customers to create something tailored just for their interests.
